Mr Benn New for 2006 faithfully reproduced by Robert Harrop Desins Ltd. Mr Benn and his adventures are fondly remembered from the TV series first shown in 1971 & 1972. The BBC commissioned 13 episodes, each 15 minutes long, written by his creator David McKee. Mr Benn originally appeared in a 1967 book entitled 'Mr Benn - Red Knight', which was later turned into the first episode of the television series. Mr Benn's 14th. adventure, 'The Gladiator', was published as a book in 2001 and was produced for television in 2005.
